Panchakarma

Manavaidyam specialize in providing all Panchakarma treatment's, Panchakarma is a Sanskrit word that means “five actions” or “five treatments”. This is a process used to clean the body of toxic materials left by disease, poor nutrition and environmental toxins.

Ayurveda recommends Panchakarma as a seasonal treatment for maintaining mental and physical hygiene and balance.

Abhyangam

A whole body herbal oil massage for 45 minutes per day for 7, 14 or 28 days followed by soothing steam bath, it gives deep relaxation and harmonises, detoxifies, strengthens and revitalizes entire body, improves complexion and lustre.

Shiroabhyanga

Gentle massage of scalp, neck and shoulders. Relieves fatigue and stress letting you forget the cares of world.

Mukha Abhyanga

A natural face lift massage improves skin tone, removes wrinkles and imparts lustre and beauty.

Pada Marma Abhyanga

The reflex points in each foot represents the per feet microcosm of the body are massaged that facilitates and encourages the vital body energy to flow unimpeded rejuvenating all internal organs together with Ida pingala and sushumna nadis.

Pizhichil

Warm medicated oil is squeezed over the patient's body from a piece of cloth that is periodically dipped in oil. Enhances muscular tone and retunes the entire nervous system.

Shirodara

Luke warm medicated oil is poured continuously as an even stream over the forehead. A holistic and Vedic approach to distress and relax the mind, body and soul.

Shirovasthi

Luke warm medicated oil is poured in to a cap fitted on the head for 30- 60 minutes according to the patients conditions. this is a very special type of treatment for facial paralysis,migrane,sleeping disorders,stress,burning sensation in head and other Vata originated disorders.

Udvarthana (Powder Massage).

This is a herbal massage, which is very much useful in obesity. this massage is administers for about 30 minutes daily for a period of14 to 28 days. Helps in burning subcutaneous excess fat and stimulates hair folloicles.acts as natural body scrub.

Navarakkizhi

A highly effective rejuvenation massage using cooked Novara rice packed in bundle being dipped in to medicated milk and then skilfully massaged over the body. It slows down the aging process, nourishes muscles and increases immunity.

Podikkizhi / Elakkizhi

A whole body bundle massage using herbal powders /leaves which are heated in herbal oil and there rhythmically massaged over the body .Highly effective in rheumatism, swellings and musculo-skeletal disorders.

Swedanam (Medicated Steam Bath)

Medicated steam bath is passed to the whole body for 15-20 minutes, it induces profuse perspiration. This is for removing toxins from the body. it is useful for neurological disorders, rheumatic conditions, obesity and so many chronic diseases. It enhances skin complexion.

Snehapana

Herbal medicated ghee is given internally in a proportionally increasing quantity of a specified period. This therapy is given as poorva karma before vamana and virechana. Shamana snehapana is useful in osteoarthritis, skin disorders

Nasyam

Medicated oils,ghee,herbal juices are used in this treatment .they are used through nasal passage for about 7 to 14 days .This treatment is highly recommended for hairfall,cough & cold ,allergic rhinitis,headaches,facial paralysis, mental disorders etc.,

Vamanam

Vamana Karma, also known as medical emesis or medical vomiting is one of the five Pradhana Karmas of Panchakarma which is used in treating Kapha disorders. This practice cleans the digestive tract of any undigested food particles lingering in the stomach and oesophagus. This undigested food can eventually enter the body as toxins. Vamana prevents the formation of these toxins. Cleaning the stomach also removes gas, acidity and indigestion. It removes extra mucus from the food oesophagus. It helps to relieve asthma, bronchitis and other respiratory problems. It can alleviate sore throat and cough.

Virechanam

Virechana therapy is defined as the medicated purgation therapy, which cleanses the Pitta and purifies blood, by clearing the toxins from the body. The treatment concentrates on the toxins that are accumulated in the liver and gall bladder. The gastro-intestinal tract is also cleansed by Virechana therapy. Virechana can treat a number of health problems and uproot them, so that they do not occur again. Skin diseases, chronic fever, piles, abdominal tumours, worms, gout, jaundice, irritable bowel syndrome, gastrointestinal problems and constipation can be effectively cured by Virechana therapy.

Vasthi(Medicated Enema)

Certain medicated oil and kashayas are given through the rectum for certain prescribed period. It removes the aggravation of the doshas which disturbs patients digestion and create toxins. By this method the toxins are removed and the medicated herbs enhance patient’s vitality, immunity and cellular metabolism. This treatment is used for neurological disorders like arthritis, paralysis, hemiplegia, numbness, gastric complaints and chronic constipation. In rejuvenation therapy vasti is must.

Jalukavacharana

Jaluka vacharana is one of the oldest methods used in purification of the body by removing deeply seated toxins in the blood and pacifying vitiated doshas, Leeches removes blood from the body and also injects biologically active substances which help to manage various ailments. This is also recognized as bloodletting therapy. Useful in following diseases: Eczema, Psoriasis, Osteoarthritis, Rheumatoid, Cellulites, Sciatica, Inflammatory Reactions, Blood purification, Varicose Veins, Rheumatic Diseases, Diabetic Wounds, Boils and abscesses, Hypertension, Thrombosis (blood clot), Alopecia and Herpes.

Kati vasthi

Kati Vasti is a miraculous Ayurvedic treatment very effective for various ailments connecting to the lower back and spine. The treatment involves retention of specially prepared warm medicated oil over the lower back or other parts of the spine for a certain period, to tackle all types of backpain, sciatica, spondylosis, and also to cure disc prolapse and spinal dislocations.

Janu Vasti
